Britt Mills for Blue Sky Planners 2025 Collection

I started my journey as a licensed artist just over four years ago. I didn't know what to expect or where it would lead me - all I knew is that I had a passion for creating colorful patterns and prints and didn't want to stop. 

Fast forward to today and I can barely believe that I have released my first collaboration with Blue Sky Planners - a brand that I have used in my daily life for years. My first collection features two of my favorite prints and signature style - whimsical watercolor botanicals.

Meet the first design, Citrus Sunrise, a cheerful citrus pattern with a lilac watercolor wash background. You will find the outlined style in a lot of my creations and this one is no exception! My process usually starts on paper with traditional paints, but I don't stop there. I like to then digitize it and use the Procreate app on my iPad to add additional accents like outlines, lettering or additional colors.

I love this print so much, I designed my daughter (Quinn's) nursery around it!

The second design featured in my Britt Mills for Blue Sky 2025 collection is Ella Bloom. A colorful, watercolor, mesmerizing floral print! I created this design after a long day of work, running on fumes and fighting an anxiety attack about who knows what. I grabbed my iPad and just started creating. I didn't have a plan, I didn't plan out a color palette and I didn't put any expectations on it. I just let the creative process happen and didn't put much pressure on myself. Lesson learned, I need to do that more often because the end product is now one of my all time favorite floral arrangements.
